Hi, Not sure if you guys face this issue using Wireless@SGx (not Wireless@SG), desiring auto-login functionality on your laptop/mobile device. Note: I did not install any Wireless@SGx programs, but setup my connection manually But when my laptop connects to the Wireless@SGx network in the NLB, it does not always establish an internet connection (maybe something to do with the routing?

Or maybe the staff had just turned on the routers? Or maybe cos I'm using a Singtel Mobile account on the M1 provided connection?).

Tomorrow morning I will test if the same thing happen if both streams are h.264 and reply to your post. Re: Possibility of Oncam Grandeye disablement of multistream feature with firmware up @fenderman, Thank you for your reply. >> Do you have any use for the mjepg stream? Feature possibility?. Or you are just testing whether it works?

The bottom line is: I'm connected to the Wireless@SGx network but cannot access the internet. Anyhows, here's my fix (+ a workaround if the fix did not work) save this URL as a bookmark: Loading this page magically seems to set things right (maybe someone more technically inclined can explain why). The 'workaround' is annoying. As it basically involves moving to the Wireless@SG network, logining then once connected to the internet properly, moving back to the Wireless@SGx network (thereby defeating the purpose of setting up the Wireless@SGx connection in the first place!) Anyhows, hope this helps some others who might face similar issues.

Mods: I did a quick search on the forums, but did not see this pop up, so remove/move as you deem fit. I complained to IDA about the not having a configuration for laptops running Mac OS X and Win 8.0/8.1. The reply I got was unsatisfying. Thank you for your interest in Wireless@SG. At the moment, the manual guides and Wireless@SG Connect apps are unable to support Mac OS X Yosemite or Windows 8.0/8.1 yet. We have just awarded our tender to develop the new version of the Wireless@SG Connect app; catered for newer OSes.

We will be rolling it out in phases. We will provide an update through our web site at once the new versions are available. For now, you may wish to manually connect using the login portal via Wireless@SG.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Does anyone have any method of how I can configure Wireless@SGx on Mac?

I have searched online and there is no articles about it. Theoneroger wrote: I complained to IDA about the not having a configuration for laptops running Mac OS X and Win 8.0/8.1. The reason why is simple.

All those mentioned OS dropped WPA-Enterprise support, which is used by Wireless@SGx. If we support WPA2-Enterprise, all current existing network equipment needs to be updated and default/existing day to day ops equipment for monitoring will require to be overhauled altogether. Oh, as for Yosemite it should be still supported. Just something about the keychains that needs to be setup.

I watched in fascination last week as a student struggled to find the Wireless@SG signal and login as we sat in Starbucks, Holland Village. I’ve not had to suffer this acquisition process for some months now and forgot how tiresome it could be. These days, I simply open the lid of my MacBook Pro in a hotspot and I’m online seconds later – the only other place I get that sort of treatment is at home! Lovely, isn’t it? We were in the middle of a discussion but I figured we could spare the minute to introduce her (and eventually I hope, her friends) to – I pointed to the prompt on the Singtel Wireless@SG welcome screen which suggested just that which she clicked:. The WSG Connect package was downloaded and she was prompted for her mac’s password to allow the installation. A short while later, the tricky bit – I showed her that the installed WSG Connect application was present in the folder “WSG Connect” within her Applications Folder – the window was actually already open on the desktop.

She ran that “Wireless@SG-Singtel” app which displayed a screen – I pointed to the menu bar tab which said “Configure SSA”. She selected that menu and drop down which said “Configure” – and followed instructions which eventually prompted for her Wireless@SG userid and password, which she keyed in. That was it, she was done! I told her she could delete the files and folders in the Downloads and Application folders from the installation.

And we carried on with our discussion. The next time she is in a hotspot and slides her mac out of her bag, it’ll login automatically once she wakes it up. I wrote a but this is really all there is to it – I’ve showed this to a few friends recently with great glee. It had not actually worked on my mac last year for some strange reason but since the re-installation of my OS last November, Wireless@SGX has been a boon! Hope it’ll work for you too. Works with too.
